Road trip: Sonfjället, Härjedalen

We drove to Hede camping where we stayed two nights. Besides a great water slide (free entry to camping guests) and decent pool, as well as a minigolf course, Hede camping has canoe rentals and nice fishing spots nearby.

Whilst we didn't catch any fish, we were lucky to see a beaver swim around and then get up on the shore only 20 meters from us.

A short drive away is Sonfjället, where we climbed the smaller peak (Lilltoppen). with our son.

Sonfjället, also spelled Sånfjället, is a national park situated in Härjedalen, in central Sweden. It was established in 1909, making it one of Europe's oldest national parks. Following a land extension in 1989, it now covers 103 km². The mountainous area is filled with large boulders, intersected by streaming lakes.
